As a Senior Research Scientist, you'll lead critical projects in our state-of-the-art Boston facility, working alongside industry experts to translate molecular discoveries into viable treatments. Responsibilities
- Design and execute complex preclinical research studies targeting novel therapeutic pathways
- Lead cross-functional teams in drug discovery and development phases from target identification to IND filing
- Analyze and interpret large-scale biological data using advanced bioinformatics and statistical methods
- Develop and optimize experimental protocols for in vitro and in vivo efficacy models
- Collaborate with regulatory affairs to ensure compliance with FDA and international guidelines
- Present research findings at scientific conferences and publish in peer-reviewed journals
- Mentor junior scientists and contribute to strategic research planning
Qualifications
- PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record in drug discovery, including target validation and lead optimization
- Expertise in molecular biology, cell culture, and high-throughput screening methodologies
- Familiarity with GGLP/GLP regulations and clinical trial design principles
- Strong statistical analysis skills and proficiency with scientific software (SAS, R, Python)
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding and manage project budgets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with publication record
