- Content Creation: Produce high-impact video packages, photo essays, and interactive web stories that drive engagement.
- Investigative Reporting: Conduct in-depth research and write compelling feature articles and breaking news pieces under tight deadlines.
- SEO Optimization: Optimize all content for search engines to maximize organic reach and audience growth.
- Visual Storytelling: Lead a team of videographers and editors to ensure visual consistency and high production value across all media channels.
- Platform Management: Curate and manage content for our website, social media platforms, and mobile apps to foster community engagement.
- Fact-Checking: Maintain the highest standards of accuracy and ethical journalism in every piece of content published.
- Collaboration: Work closely with editors and designers to create integrated storytelling experiences.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in journalism, with a proven track record in multimedia storytelling.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop) and non-linear editing software.
- Writing Ability: Exceptional command of the English language; strict adherence to AP Style.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- SEO Knowledge: Strong understanding of SEO best practices for digital publishing.
- Work Ethic: Ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines, and handle breaking news situations with composure.
