Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex mechanical systems, including robotics arms and automated assembly lines, using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Conduct rigorous stress analysis and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to ensure product durability and safety compliance.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOM), and technical specifications for manufacturing teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers and software developers, to integrate mechanical components into complex systems.
- Oversee the prototyping process, manage testing phases, and troubleshoot design issues to optimize performance.
- Prepare technical documentation and present design reviews to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, specifically within the robotics or automation industry.
- Proficient in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and manufacturing processes (CNC, 3D printing, injection molding).
- Experience with FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus) is a strong plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
