Responsibilities
- Lead design and prototyping of mechanical systems for electric vehicle platforms
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations using ANSYS/AutoCAD to validate structural integrity
- Develop and test thermal management systems for battery packs and powertrains
- Coordinate with suppliers for component sourcing and manufacturing processes
- Generate detailed engineering documentation and compliance reports
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in automotive or heavy machinery design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and CATIA V5
- Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Certification in FEA simulation (ANSYS preferred)
- Experience with ISO 26262 automotive safety standards
- Proven track record of bringing products from concept to production
