Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept validation to production release
- Develop and optimize CAD models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD for precision components
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations for performance validation
- Collaborate with R&D teams to integrate smart sensors and IoT connectivity solutions
- Document technical specifications and create detailed engineering drawings
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and industry safety standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in product development for automotive or industrial sectors
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and simulation tools (ANSYS, COMSOL)
- Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Proven track record in DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFX principles
- Certification in Six Sigma or PMP highly desirable
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to solve complex technical challenges
