Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical system design for electric vehicle powertrains
- Develop and validate CAD models using SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Collaborate with robotics teams to automate manufacturing processes
- Conduct failure analysis and implement design improvements
- Mentor junior engineers and drive technical excellence
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and automotive safety standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years experience in automotive or heavy machinery design
- Expert proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA)
- Strong analytical skills with FEA/CFM simulation knowledge
- Experience with materials selection and manufacturing processes
- Proven project management with budget oversight
- Valid US driver's license and willingness for occasional travel
