Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle for high-performance EV components using SolidWorks and ANSYS
- Develop and validate prototype systems through rigorous FEA/CFD simulations and physical testing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, manufacturing) to optimize integrated solutions
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for existing product lines using DFMEA methodologies
- Mentor junior engineers while ensuring compliance with ISO 26262 functional safety standards
- Present technical solutions to C-suite stakeholders and industry partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of automotive/industrial experience
- Expert proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks) and simulation software (ANSYS, Abaqus)
- Proven track record in developing complex mechanical assemblies for high-volume production
- Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes (injection molding, die-casting)
- Experience with functional safety standards (ISO 26262, IATF 16949)
- MSME or PhD preferred with specialization in electric powertrains or mechatronics
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
