As a key member of our R&D department, you will lead the mechanical design lifecycle for next-generation robotics and automated systems. You will have the autonomy to shape the direction of our technology while working alongside world-class engineers in a culture that values creativity and technical excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design and development of complex systems, including robotics, actuators, and precision components.
- Utilize advanced CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor) to create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models.
- Conduct thorough stress analysis and finite element analysis (FEA) to ensure product durability and performance under load.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers and software developers, to integrate mechanical systems into larger assemblies.
- Manage the prototyping process, including 3D printing, CNC machining, and in-house testing.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and participate in the continuous improvement of our engineering workflows.
- Document all designs, specifications, and test results in compliance with industry standards and company protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related STEM field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Proficiency in CAD software and strong working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Experience with FEA tools such as ANSYS or Abaqus.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials science, and mechanical principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
