Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of complex mechanical systems using CAD software (SolidWorks/AutoCAD)
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and simulation to validate product performance
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype and test new automotive components
- Optimize manufacturing processes for cost efficiency and quality control
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO 9001, AS9100)
- Present technical solutions to stakeholders and executive leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in automotive or heavy machinery design
- Expert proficiency in CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS, or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of GD&T and manufacturing processes
- Proven track record in product development lifecycle management
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or eligibility
- Experience with electric vehicle powertrain systems highly desirable
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
