Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of mechanical systems using CAD/CAM tools (SolidWorks, CATIA)
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype and test components in lab and field environments
- Generate detailed technical documentation and manufacturing drawings
- Optimize designs for cost, weight, and performance using DFMA principles
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
- Ensure compliance with ASME, MIL-STD, and ISO specifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace/automotive
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS Suite
- Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Certification in Six Sigma or PMP highly desirable
- Experience with rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects from concept to production
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
