Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to production using CAD and CAE tools
- Perform FEA/CFD analysis to optimize product performance and reliability
- Collaborate with R&D teams to develop innovative manufacturing automation solutions
- Create detailed technical documentation including BOMs, assembly drawings, and test protocols
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Interface with suppliers to ensure component quality and cost-effectiveness
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for industrial equipment
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS/Abaqus simulation software
- Strong understanding of GD&T, material science, and manufacturing processes
- Proven track record in leading complex product development cycles
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility
- Experience with automation systems and motion control integration
