Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of turbine components using SolidWorks and CATIA
- Perform FEA/CFD simulations to validate thermal and structural performance
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings and GD&T specifications
- Collaborate with materials team on composite/advanced alloy selection
- Manage prototype builds and conduct rigorous testing validation
- Mentor junior engineers and drive design process improvements
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and FAA certification standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of aerospace propulsion component design experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks/CATIA and ANSYS simulation tools
- Demonstrated experience with turbine engine or gas turbine systems
- Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes
- AS9100/FAA certification experience highly valued
- Proven project leadership with complex system integration
- Active PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months
