Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle for aerospace propulsion components
- Develop detailed CAD models and technical documentation using SolidWorks and CATIA
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations for structural and thermal performance validation
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize DFM/DFA processes
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
- Research and implement advanced materials and manufacturing technologies
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and FAA aerospace standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace or high-performance mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and CATIA with complex assemblies
- Strong background in FEA (ANSYS) and thermal analysis
- Proven track record with composite materials and additive manufacturing
- AS9100 certification experience required
- Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills
