Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex mechanical assemblies for robotic systems.
- Utilize advanced CAD software to create detailed 3D models and manufacturing-ready engineering drawings.
- Perform comprehensive FEA and tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure product reliability under high-stress conditions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and firmware engineers, to integrate mechatronic systems.
- Manage the entire prototyping lifecycle, including rapid prototyping, supplier coordination, and hands-on assembly.
- Draft and maintain technical documentation, BOMs, and engineering specifications.
- Mentor junior engineers and champion best practices in mechanical design and GD&T implementation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably in robotics, aerospace, or automotive.
- Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
- Proven expertise in DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) and DFM techniques.
- Strong understanding of material science, specifically regarding alloy selection and thermal management.
- Hands-on experience with CNC machining, 3D printing, and injection molding processes.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in an agile, fast-paced environment.
