Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to production using CAD/CAM tools
- Develop and optimize complex mechanical systems with FEA analysis and simulation
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams to ensure seamless system integration
- Create detailed technical documentation including drawings, BOMs, and test protocols
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for manufacturing processes and product performance
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews to maintain quality standards
- Research emerging technologies and implement innovative solutions to industry challenges
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for industrial or automation systems
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD with proven portfolio
- Strong knowledge of FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus) and material science principles
- Experience with GD&T, tolerance analysis, and DFM methodologies
- Proven project management skills with ability to meet deadlines and budgets
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with systematic approach to complex challenges
- Strong communication skills with ability to present technical concepts to diverse audiences
