Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex mechanical assemblies using SolidWorks for robotic integration.
- Conduct rigorous FEA and stress analysis to ensure system reliability under extreme operational loads.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and firmware engineers, to ensure cohesive system architecture.
- Lead the transition from prototype to full-scale production, including BOM management and vendor sourcing.
- Execute iterative testing protocols to troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and improve design efficiency.
- Mentor junior engineering staff on best practices for design for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA).
- Create and maintain high-fidelity technical documentation and manufacturing schematics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical product design or robotics.
- Expert-level proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
- Strong understanding of material science, gear systems, and complex kinematics.
- Proven track record of taking complex products from concept through to volume manufacturing.
- Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving under tight project timelines.
