Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from concept validation through prototyping and mass production
- Develop advanced CAD models using SolidWorks and CATIA for complex aerospace components
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations to optimize structural integrity and thermal performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems with avionics and control systems
- Validate designs through rigorous testing protocols and failure mode analysis
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and FAA aerospace standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace or high-tech mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and CATIA with complex assembly modeling
- Proven track record with ANSYS/Abaqus FEA and thermal analysis
- Deep understanding of materials science for aerospace applications
- Experience with GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis
- Strong problem-solving skills with systematic troubleshooting methodologies
- Active PE license or willingness to obtain within 6 months
