Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design processes from concept to prototyping using CAD/CAE tools
- Develop and optimize product designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and performance
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations to validate design integrity
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve production challenges and implement design improvements
- Create detailed technical documentation including assembly drawings, BOMs, and test protocols
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical product design and development
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD with knowledge of simulation tools
- Strong understanding of GD&T, material science, and manufacturing processes
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex mechanical systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility for licensure
