Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive logistics strategies to optimize supply chain performance and reduce operational costs.
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), freight forwarders, and shipping agents to ensure high service standards.
- Operational Oversight: Monitor daily logistics operations, including freight forwarding, warehousing, and distribution, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing logistics team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Cost Control: Analyze logistics expenses and implement cost-saving measures without compromising service quality.
- Reporting & Analytics: Generate detailed reports on KPIs, such as on-time delivery rates, inventory turnover, and shipping costs, to drive data-driven decision-making.
- Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve logistical bottlenecks and disruptions in the supply chain.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of proven experience in logistics and supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Certifications: Professional certification in logistics (e.g., CIPS, CILT, or APICS CPIM) is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and logistics management software.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Analytical: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead diverse teams and manage cross-functional projects effectively.
