Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end logistics cycle, including procurement, warehousing, and distribution, ensuring 100% on-time delivery targets.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, third-party logistics providers, and customs brokers to manage shipping schedules and resolve complex logistics challenges.
- Analyze logistics data and KPIs to identify bottlenecks, propose process improvements, and implement cost-saving strategies.
- Ensure strict compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate closely with warehouse operations to prevent stockouts and optimize stock rotation.
- Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers to secure the best possible terms and service levels.
- Prepare and review shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and certificates of origin.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of proven experience in logistics coordination, supply chain management, or freight forwarding.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan Associates) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical abilities with a focus on data-driven decision-making and process optimization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and internal teams.
- Professional certification (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP, PMP) is a significant plus.
