Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end logistics operations, ensuring timely delivery of goods.
- Negotiate favorable rates and contracts with third-party carriers and freight forwarders.
- Analyze shipping data and trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and process bottlenecks.
- Resolve complex logistics issues, including delays, customs clearance, and damage claims.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including warehouse management and sales, to ensure alignment.
- Implement and maintain logistics software and ERP systems to track inventory and shipments.
- Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or freight forwarding.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Manhattan Associates.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to negotiate effectively with vendors.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
