Responsibilities
- Oversee Logistics Operations: Manage the end-to-end shipping process, including freight booking, scheduling, and carrier selection to ensure on-time delivery.
- Optimize Routes: Analyze shipping data and route networks to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve delivery efficiency.
- Vendor Management: Negotiate rates and terms with 3PLs and freight carriers while maintaining strong professional relationships.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs paperwork, is accurate and compliant with regulations.
- Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing real-time updates and resolving any logistics bottlenecks.
- Inventory Coordination: Collaborate with warehousing teams to synchronize inbound and outbound inventory flows.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) is highly desirable.
- Analytical Ability: Strong skills in data analysis, Excel, and interpreting shipping metrics.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- License: Valid driver’s license may be required.
