Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain on-premise and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) ensuring high availability and security.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive government data against cyber threats.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex server issues, network configurations, and application deployments.
- Conduct system audits and ensure compliance with federal regulations and internal IT policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and drive system upgrades.
Responsibilities
- Oversee server administration, including Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) to improve efficiency.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.
- Document technical processes and maintain accurate system architecture diagrams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Certification preferred: CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.
- 5+ years of experience in IT systems administration within a government or large enterprise environment.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, and firewall configurations.
- Experience with disaster recovery planning and business continuity processes.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (e.g., Secret/Top Secret).
