Responsibilities
- Lead high-impact investigative projects from conception to publication
- Develop and maintain confidential sources across diverse communities
- Conduct data-driven research using public records and advanced analytics
- Produce compelling multimedia content including video, podcasts, and interactive features
- Collaborate with editors to ensure accuracy and adherence to journalistic standards
- Mentor junior journalists and contribute to editorial strategy

Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional journalism experience with investigative portfolio
- Proven track record of breaking exclusive stories and holding power accountable
- Expertise in FOIA requests, public records, and advanced research methodologies
- Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Flourish) and multimedia production
- Exceptional writing skills with ability to adapt tone for different platforms
- Deep understanding of media ethics, libel laws, and journalistic standards
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle sensitive information discreetly
