Responsibilities
- Lead complex investigations across politics, business, and social justice sectors
- Develop and maintain confidential source networks for exclusive reporting
- Produce multimedia content including long-form articles, podcasts, and video documentaries
- Collaborate with data journalism team to analyze complex datasets
- Mentor junior journalists and contribute to editorial strategy
- Represent the organization at industry events and panel discussions
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional journalism experience with investigative portfolio
- Proven track record of breaking major news stories
- Expertise in FOIA requests, public records, and document analysis
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Flourish) and video editing
- Ability to work under tight deadlines with editorial independence
- Journalism degree or equivalent professional experience
- Strong ethical grounding and commitment to journalistic standards
