Responsibilities
- Lead high-stakes investigations into public corruption, corporate malfeasance, and social justice issues
- Develop and maintain confidential sources across government, legal, and community sectors
- Produce multi-format content including long-form documentaries, breaking news segments, and digital features
- Collaborate with editorial team to develop story angles that resonate with diverse audiences
- Mentor junior journalists and maintain rigorous fact-checking standards
- Represent the organization at industry events and maintain professional networks
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of investigative journalism experience with portfolio of published work
- Proven track record of securing high-impact scoops and in-depth investigations
- Expertise in FOIA requests, document analysis, and advanced research methodologies
- Exceptional writing skills with ability to translate complex topics for mass audiences
- Proficiency with digital storytelling tools including video editing and data visualization
- Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining journalistic integrity
- Relevant journalism degree or equivalent professional certification
