Responsibilities
- Lead in-depth investigations on topics including public policy, corporate accountability, and social justice
- Develop and maintain confidential sources across government, NGO, and private sectors
- Produce compelling multimedia content for digital, broadcast, and print platforms
- Collaborate with editors, videographers, and data analysts to create cohesive storytelling packages
- Adhere to strict journalistic ethics while meeting aggressive publication deadlines
- Mentor junior journalists and contribute to editorial strategy development
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional investigative journalism experience with portfolio of published work
- Proven track record of breaking exclusive stories with measurable impact
- Expertise in FOIA requests, public records analysis, and advanced research methodologies
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with ability to adapt tone for diverse platforms
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Flourish) and multimedia production
- Ability to work independently under pressure while maintaining journalistic integrity
- BA/MA in Journalism, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
