Responsibilities
- Lead complex investigative projects from conception through to publication.
- Cultivate and maintain a deep network of confidential sources across various sectors.
- Analyze large data sets and public records to identify patterns of institutional corruption or societal shifts.
- Collaborate with multimedia producers to enhance investigative findings with visual and interactive storytelling elements.
- Maintain the highest standards of journalistic integrity, ethics, and fact-checking protocols.
- Represent the company in public forums, industry panels, and broadcast media appearances.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7+ years of professional experience in investigative journalism for a reputable publication.
- Proven track record of producing high-profile, award-winning investigative features.
- Advanced proficiency in data journalism tools (SQL, Excel, R, or Python) for record analysis.
- Exceptional narrative writing skills and an ability to distill complex topics for a general audience.
- Deep knowledge of media law, libel standards, and ethical reporting practices.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines while managing long-term, high-stakes investigations.
