Responsibilities
- Lead complex investigative projects from research to publication across digital platforms
- Develop and maintain sources across government, industry, and community sectors
- Produce compelling multimedia content including video documentaries, podcasts, and interactive data visualizations
- Mentor junior journalists and contribute to editorial strategy development
- Adhere to strict journalistic ethics and fact-checking standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on breaking news coverage
- Represent the organization at industry events and conferences
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional journalism experience with proven investigative portfolio
- Demonstrated expertise in data journalism, FOI requests, and source protection
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with ability to adapt tone for diverse platforms
- Strong understanding of UK media law and ethical guidelines
- Experience managing complex projects under tight deadlines
- Proficiency in digital production tools (Adobe Creative Suite, CMS platforms)
- Relevant degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field
