- Mentor junior journalists and guide editorial strategy for investigative segments
- Collaborate with legal teams to navigate complex ethical and legal challenges
- Represent the organization at industry events and public forums
- Develop innovative digital storytelling techniques to maximize audience engagement
Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional journalism experience with proven investigative portfolio
- Demonstrated expertise in FOIA requests, public records research, and data journalism
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with ability to simplify complex topics
- Strong network of high-level sources across government, corporate, and NGO sectors
- Proficiency in digital tools (CMS, analytics, multimedia production software)
- Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining journalistic standards
- Journalism degree or equivalent professional certification required
