Responsibilities

- Conduct rigorous fact-checking and collaborate with legal counsel on sensitive reporting.
- Analyze large datasets to identify patterns and uncover hidden narratives.
- Mentor junior reporters and collaborate with our multimedia team to enhance storytelling.
- Draft compelling, high-quality narratives that adhere to the highest standards of journalistic integrity.
- Represent the organization in public forums and media appearances regarding your reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in newsrooms with a focus on investigative reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to produce award-winning investigative journalism.
- Expertise in FOIA requests, public record searches, and document analysis.
- Proficiency in digital research tools and data visualization software.
- Exceptional narrative writing skills and a sharp eye for editorial detail.
- Deep understanding of media law, defamation risks, and ethical sourcing practices.
