Responsibilities

- Cultivate and maintain a robust network of confidential sources within government, corporate, and public sectors.
- Analyze complex datasets and public records to uncover patterns of wrongdoing or systemic issues.
- Collaborate with multimedia producers to translate deep-dive reporting into compelling visual and audio narratives.
- Adhere to the highest standards of journalistic ethics, accuracy, and legal compliance.
- Mentor junior reporters on investigative techniques, fact-checking, and narrative structure.
- Represent the publication in public forums, interviews, and community engagements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7+ years of professional experience in investigative or hard news journalism.
- Proven track record of producing award-winning, long-form investigative content.
- Advanced proficiency in FOIA requests, data journalism tools, and document verification.
- Exceptional narrative storytelling abilities with a focus on human-centric reporting.
- Unwavering commitment to objective, fact-based journalism under tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle high-stakes source interactions.
