Responsibilities
- Lead complex multi-source investigations across politics, finance, and social justice sectors
- Produce original multimedia content including long-form articles, podcasts, and documentary shorts
- Develop and maintain confidential sources while adhering to journalistic ethics
- Collaborate with data analysts to visualize complex findings for maximum impact
- Mentor junior journalists and contribute to editorial strategy development
- Represent the organization at industry conferences and public forums
Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional investigative journalism experience with documented major scoops
- Proven expertise in FOIA requests, court records, and financial data analysis
- Portfolio demonstrating exceptional storytelling across multiple mediums
- Master's degree in Journalism or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Deep understanding of media law, ethics, and digital transformation in journalism
- Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining rigorous editorial standards
- Experience managing investigative projects from conception to publication
