Responsibilities
- Lead and execute complex investigative projects with national impact
- Develop and maintain confidential sources while adhering to ethical standards
- Produce in-depth multimedia stories for digital, broadcast, and print platforms
- Analyze data and public records to uncover systemic issues
- Mentor junior journalists and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Present findings through compelling written reports, documentaries, and podcasts
Qualifications
- 7+ years of investigative journalism experience with published major investigations
- Proven expertise in FOIA requests, data analysis, and source protection
- Portfolio demonstrating impactful multimedia storytelling
- Strong understanding of media law and journalistic ethics
- Ability to thrive under deadline pressure while maintaining accuracy
- Experience training and managing editorial teams
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field
