Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth risk analysis for commercial insurance portfolios exceeding $50M
- Develop underwriting strategies for emerging cyber and climate risk categories
- Lead cross-functional teams in policy design and pricing optimization
- Maintain compliance with NY State insurance regulations and NAIC standards
- Collaborate with actuaries to refine risk modeling methodologies
- Mentor junior underwriters and drive best practice implementation
- Present complex risk assessments to executive stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 7+ years of commercial underwriting experience with property/casualty focus
- CCRP (Certified Commercial Risk Professional) designation required
- Advanced proficiency in insurance analytics platforms (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek)
- Demonstrated expertise in cyber and ESG risk assessment
- Strong regulatory knowledge of NY insurance landscape
- Exceptional analytical and negotiation skills
