Responsibilities
- Analyze complex commercial insurance applications and risk assessments to determine coverage eligibility and premium structures
- Develop customized insurance solutions for mid-market and large enterprise clients across diverse industries
- Leverage predictive analytics tools to quantify risk exposure and optimize pricing models
- Lead negotiation sessions with brokers and clients to finalize policy terms and conditions
- Maintain compliance with state insurance regulations and internal governance standards
- Mentor junior underwriters and contribute to continuous improvement of underwriting workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, or related field with 5+ years commercial underwriting experience
- CPCU, ARM, or CERA designation strongly preferred
- Expertise in property/casualty insurance products and regulatory frameworks
- Advanced proficiency in underwriting software (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek)
- Demonstrated success in analyzing complex financial statements and loss runs
- Exceptional negotiation skills with ability to articulate risk-reward trade-offs
- Strong problem-solving abilities with data-driven decision-making mindset
