Responsibilities
- Underwrite complex commercial property/casualty policies up to $10M in premium
- Analyze risk exposure using advanced modeling tools and historical loss data
- Develop tailored insurance solutions for mid-market and enterprise clients
- Mentor junior underwriters and lead cross-functional risk assessment teams
- Collaborate with actuaries to refine pricing strategies and loss projections
- Maintain compliance with state insurance regulations and industry best practices
- Identify emerging risks and recommend innovative coverage solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 7+ years of commercial underwriting experience with P&C specialization
- CPCU or AU designation required
- Advanced proficiency in insurance analytics platforms (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek)
- Proven track record of profitable portfolio management
- Expert knowledge of insurance regulations across multiple states
- Exceptional negotiation skills and client relationship management experience
- Ability to interpret complex financial statements and loss runs
