Responsibilities
- Analyze complex commercial property/casualty risks using quantitative modeling and qualitative assessment
- Design tailored insurance policies with optimal coverage and premium structures
- Leverage AI-driven analytics to identify emerging risk trends in financial services
- Collaborate with brokers and clients to build strategic risk management partnerships
- Maintain compliance with NY State insurance regulations and ISO standards
- Mentor junior underwriters and contribute to process innovation initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial underwriting experience in property/casualty
- Expert knowledge of ISO rating systems and risk assessment methodologies
- CPCU or AU designation required (in progress acceptable)
- Advanced proficiency in insurance software (Guidewire, Duck Creek)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret financial statements and loss runs
- Excellent negotiation skills and client relationship management experience
