Responsibilities
- Underwrite complex commercial insurance policies with meticulous risk evaluation methodologies
- Develop and refine underwriting frameworks using predictive analytics and machine learning models
- Lead cross-functional teams to design bespoke insurance solutions for Fortune 500 clients
- Monitor emerging risks (cyber, climate, geopolitical) and update risk mitigation protocols
- Maintain compliance with MAS regulations and international insurance standards
- Mentor junior underwriters through our proprietary risk assessment certification program
Qualifications
- 10+ years of commercial underwriting experience with specialization in property/casualty or specialty lines
- Advanced certification (CPCU, ARM, or equivalent) with proven track record in portfolio management
- Expertise in predictive modeling tools (SAS, R, or Python) and data visualization platforms
- Deep understanding of APAC regulatory environments and emerging market dynamics
- Strong negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to structure complex reinsurance agreements
- Strategic mindset with experience driving underwriting transformation initiatives
