Responsibilities
- Evaluate and underwrite complex commercial insurance applications across property, casualty, and specialty lines
- Develop customized risk management solutions for mid-market and enterprise clients
- Analyze financial statements, loss histories, and market trends to assess risk exposure
- Collaborate with brokers, agents, and internal stakeholders to structure optimal coverage
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
- Mentor junior underwriters and contribute to process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of commercial underwriting experience with proven portfolio growth
- CPCU, ARM, or CIC designation preferred
- Expertise in risk assessment, policy structuring, and claims analysis
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in insurance rating systems
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
