- Lead underwriting committees to align risk appetite with market opportunities
- Maintain profitable portfolios through rigorous claims trend analysis and renewal strategy execution
- Mentor junior underwriters while implementing continuous improvement initiatives
- Partner with actuarial teams to refine risk pricing algorithms and predictive models
Qualifications
- 7+ years of commercial underwriting experience with P&C specialization
- CPCU, AU, or ARM designation required
- Advanced proficiency in underwriting software (Guidewire, Duck Creek)
- Expertise in risk assessment methodologies and regulatory compliance (NAIC, ISO)
- Proven track record in portfolio profitability management
- Strong analytical skills with SQL/Excel proficiency
- Excellent communication abilities for stakeholder negotiations
