Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate complex insurance applications using quantitative analysis and industry benchmarks
- Develop tailored insurance policies and coverage solutions for high-value commercial accounts
- Lead underwriting committees and provide mentorship to junior underwriters
- Monitor market trends and regulatory changes to ensure portfolio compliance
- Build and maintain relationships with brokers, agents, and key industry stakeholders
- Implement risk mitigation strategies for specialty lines including cyber and E&O
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or related field
- 7+ years of progressive underwriting experience in commercial lines
- CPCU or ARM designation required (considered with equivalent experience)
- Advanced proficiency in underwriting software (e.g., Duck Creek, Guidewire)
- Demonstrated expertise in risk assessment for property/casualty portfolios
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret financial statements and loss ratios
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex concepts to diverse audiences
