Responsibilities
- Analyze complex commercial and personal insurance applications using advanced risk assessment methodologies
- Develop and execute underwriting strategies aligned with market trends and regulatory requirements
- Lead negotiations with brokers and clients to structure optimal coverage terms
- Maintain and grow profitable portfolio of high-value accounts
- Mentor junior underwriters and drive continuous improvement in underwriting processes
- Collaborate with actuarial and claims teams to refine risk models
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial underwriting experience with P&C specialization
- Industry designations such as CPCU, ARM, or AU required
- Expertise in risk analytics and underwriting software (e.g., Duck Creek, Guidewire)
- Proven track record of portfolio profitability management
- Strong leadership abilities with team management experience
- Exceptional communication skills for stakeholder negotiations
