Responsibilities
- Analyze complex commercial insurance applications and property risk profiles using advanced actuarial models
- Develop customized insurance solutions for high-value clients in manufacturing, logistics, and real estate sectors
- Lead cross-functional teams including actuaries, claims specialists, and brokers in risk assessment processes
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of emerging insurance technologies and regulatory changes
- Mentor junior underwriters while maintaining portfolio profitability targets
- Collaborate with product development teams to design innovative coverage options
- Present risk recommendations to executive committees with data-driven insights
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 8+ years of commercial property underwriting experience with $50M+ portfolio management
- Professional designation (CPCU, ARM, or AU) required
- Advanced proficiency in risk assessment software (Guidewire, Duck Creek, etc.)
- Demonstrated success in developing profitable insurance products
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to regulatory compliance
- Strong leadership experience with proven team development capabilities
- Industry knowledge of Midwest commercial property markets essential
