- Assess complex commercial and personal insurance risks through rigorous analysis of financial statements, industry trends, and loss history

- Lead negotiations with brokers and clients to structure optimal coverage solutions
- Maintain and enhance underwriting authority while adhering to established risk appetite frameworks
- Mentor junior underwriters and contribute to continuous improvement of underwriting workflows
- Collaborate with claims and actuarial teams to refine risk assessment methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field with 5+ years of underwriting experience
- Professional designation (CPCU, ARM, or AU) strongly preferred
- Expertise in property/casualty or specialty lines with proven track record in high-value portfolios
- Advanced proficiency in underwriting software (e.g., Duck Creek, Guidewire)
- Deep understanding of insurance regulations and compliance standards
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights
- Strong negotiation skills and client relationship management expertise
