Responsibilities
- Analyze complex commercial insurance applications and risk profiles using advanced data modeling
- Develop and implement tailored insurance solutions for mid-market enterprises
- Collaborate with actuarial teams to price policies accurately and competitively
- Maintain compliance with state and federal insurance regulations (NAIC standards)
- Lead cross-functional teams in claims resolution and risk mitigation strategies
- Identify emerging market trends and recommend portfolio adjustments
- Mentor junior underwriters through structured knowledge-sharing programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial insurance underwriting experience
- CPCU or AU designation strongly preferred
- Proficiency in insurance software (Guidewire, Duck Creek) and data analytics tools
- Demonstrated success in risk assessment for property/casualty portfolios
- Exceptional negotiation and client relationship management skills
- Strong understanding of reinsurance structures and treaty negotiations
