Responsibilities
- Evaluate complex insurance applications and assess risk exposure for commercial and specialty lines
- Develop tailored insurance solutions and pricing strategies for high-net-worth clients
- Collaborate with actuaries and brokers to optimize risk management approaches
- Lead underwriting committees and mentor junior team members
- Stay current with regulatory changes and industry trends affecting insurance markets
- Implement digital underwriting tools to enhance decision-making efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
- 7+ years of progressive underwriting experience in commercial/specialty insurance
- Proven expertise in risk assessment, policy structuring, and claims analysis
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in underwriting software (e.g., Duck Creek, Guidewire)
- Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation required
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to negotiate complex terms
- Demonstrated success in building client relationships and cross-functional collaboration
