Responsibilities
- Analyze complex commercial and personal insurance applications using predictive modeling tools
- Develop and maintain underwriting guidelines aligned with emerging risk trends
- Collaborate with brokers to structure tailored coverage solutions for high-net-worth clients
- Lead portfolio management initiatives optimizing loss ratios and profitability
- Train junior underwriters on regulatory compliance and industry best practices
- Monitor market dynamics and propose innovative product enhancements
- Present quarterly risk assessments to executive leadership team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 7+ years of property/casualty underwriting experience with P&C licenses
- Advanced proficiency in RMS, Duck Creek, or similar underwriting platforms
- CPCU, ARM, or AU designation required
- Proven track record in portfolio profitability optimization
- Expert knowledge of NY insurance regulations and NAIC standards
- Strong quantitative analysis skills with data visualization experience
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management abilities
