Responsibilities
- Evaluate complex commercial and specialty insurance risks using advanced analytics and industry benchmarks
- Design tailored insurance solutions and policy structures for high-net-worth clients
- Lead underwriting committees and present recommendations to executive stakeholders
- Develop pricing models and risk mitigation strategies for emerging exposures
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
- Mentor junior underwriters and drive continuous improvement in underwriting workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
- 8+ years of commercial insurance underwriting experience with P&C specialization
- Proven track record in pricing complex risks and managing large portfolios
- Expert knowledge of ISO rating systems and regulatory frameworks (NY, NJ, CT)
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in underwriting software (Guidewire, Duck Creek)
- CPCU, ARM, or CERA designation required
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities
