Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate complex insurance risks using advanced statistical modeling and predictive analytics
- Design and implement underwriting guidelines for commercial property/casualty portfolios
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop innovative insurance solutions for emerging risks
- Present risk assessment findings to executive stakeholders and regulatory bodies
- Monitor market trends and regulatory changes to ensure portfolio resilience
- Mentor junior analysts and drive continuous improvement in risk methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, Statistics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 7+ years of experience in commercial insurance underwriting or risk analysis
- Professional designations (ARM, CPCU, or ASA) strongly preferred
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and R for risk modeling
- Deep understanding of insurance regulations (NY DFS, NAIC standards)
- Proven track record of developing risk mitigation strategies for large portfolios
- Exceptional presentation skills with ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences
